Orry

Your career data stays yours

Orry needs to know about your career to be useful. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and who helps us process it.

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Who we are

  • Orry is operated by Rubik’s Cube Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 47 637 650 698), trading as Orry, in Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
  • Contact us at hello@meetorry.com or through the Contact page.

What Orry collects

  • Your email address, to sign you in.
  • Your Career DNA: the roles, salary floor, work preferences, home suburb and deal breakers you enter.
  • Your CV, only if you upload it, plus the skills and evidence you confirm from it.
  • Details of the jobs you view on supported sites (title, employer, location, salary text and link) and the scores Orry gives them. For Job X-Ray, short requirement quotes of up to 400 characters are kept. Full job descriptions are not stored.
  • Your shortlist, feedback and Orry settings.
  • If you buy a Career Sprint: the amount, date and Stripe reference numbers. Never your card details.
  • Product usage events, such as a job being scored, the extension version and errors, so we can keep Orry working. These never include your browsing history.

Your CV and sensitive information

  • Uploading a CV is optional. Orry works without one; it is only needed for Job X-Ray.
  • A CV can contain sensitive information, such as health details, memberships or beliefs, or details about other people such as referees. By uploading it you consent to Orry processing it to extract evidence and run Job X-Ray. Remove anything you would rather not share before uploading.

What Orry does not collect

  • Browsing history, or anything from sites other than linkedin.com, SEEK and meetorry.com. On those sites, the extension only acts on job pages.
  • Passwords, messages, or answers you type into job application forms.
  • Your exact home address. Orry uses the suburb you enter.

Who processes it

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and private file storage for your CV. Your account data and CV are stored in Supabase’s Seoul (South Korea) region.
  • Vercel: hosts the Orry website and API. Server functions run in Sydney.
  • Anthropic (Claude): reads your CV to extract evidence, runs Job X-Ray, and summarises employer news. Anthropic does not train its models on this data.
  • OpenRouter and TypeSafe (Jev): classify job details against parts of your Career DNA (current title, target and stretch roles, skills, industries, career goal and deal breakers) for scoring.
  • Mapbox: estimates the commute between your suburb and the job’s suburb.
  • Resend: sends sign-in links, receipts and reminder emails.
  • Stripe: takes Career Sprint payments. Card details go straight to Stripe; Orry only stores the amount, date and Stripe reference numbers.
  • Google News RSS and GDELT: employer news is looked up by employer name only. None of your data is sent.

Overseas disclosure

  • Most of the providers above store or process data outside Australia, mainly in South Korea (our database, Supabase) and the United States (Vercel, Anthropic, OpenRouter, TypeSafe, Mapbox, Resend and Stripe), and some may use other countries. The website itself runs in Vercel’s Sydney region.
  • We send each provider only what it needs to do its job, and we use providers that are bound by data-protection terms.

Cookies and local storage

  • The website uses sign-in cookies (from Supabase) to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
  • The extension keeps a few things in Chrome’s storage on your device: an anonymous install ID, a session ID, your Ruthless Mode setting, and cached scores so jobs are not re-sent while you scroll.

Emails

  • Account emails, such as sign-in links and payment receipts, are always sent because the service needs them.
  • Career Sprint reminder emails (around the end of your Sprint) include a one-click unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

  • Career DNA, CV, evidence, scores and shortlist: while your account is active. They are deleted when you ask us to delete your account.
  • Payment records: as long as tax law requires, typically 5 years.
  • Product usage events: up to 12 months.

What we will never do

  • Sell your data, or share your CV with employers or recruiters.
  • Use your CV or job data to train AI models.
  • Apply to jobs, message anyone or submit forms on your behalf.

Your choices and rights

  • Edit your Career DNA at any time. Unconfirmed CV evidence is never used.
  • Sign out of the web app and the extension clears what it shows.
  • You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email hello@meetorry.com from your account email and we will respond within 30 days.
  • To delete your account and all your data (Career DNA, CV, scores, shortlist), send a request through the Contact page using your account email.

Complaints

  • If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first at hello@meetorry.com and we will respond within 30 days.
  • If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

  • If we change how Orry handles your data, we will update this page and the date below before the change applies.
